REQUIRED TREADMILL LUBRICATION
Last Updated 6 years ago

INSTRUCTIONS FOR LUBRICATING THE TREADMILL RUNNING BELTS:

excessive static electricity build-up which can result in electrical component failure in the unit’s console and/or mechanical failure due to excessive wear and tear.

When to lubricate:

Most of our treadmills come pre-lubricated, but should be checked on a monthly basis.

How to lubricate:

Only use silicone lubricant supplied by BH North America.

Squirt .5 oz of the silicone lubricant underneath the center of the treadmill running belt, beading it from the middle outward to the left side of the running surface area. Apply the same process to the right side. Walk for 1 minute on the treadmill at a speed of 1.0 mph causing the lubricant to spread evenly. Now turn the treadmill up to 8 to 10 miles per hour for about 5 minutes. The process needs be repeated every month.

Note: Do not get silicone lubricant on the top of treadmill running belt. This will make the treadmill running belt very slippery and make treadmill dangerous to use. Use alcohol and a dry rag to remove the lubricant if a spill does occur.

It is recommended that the deck be lubricated every 3~12 months according to the frequency of usage.

WARNING!

Do not use cleaner under the running belt.

i) Use 6mm Allen wrench to loosen the bolts in the end caps. Remove excessive accumulations of dust, dirt, and other substances from running deck. ONLY use a clean soft cloth.

ii) Gently pull up the side of the running belt, and dispense a thin layer of the lubricant on deck, and spread evenly. DO NOT over lubricate.

iii) Center the belt (top of this page), and tighten the end caps.

Check belt condition and adjust if necessary referring to the steps above.
